Melody Simon Light app for iPhone and iPad

Melody Simon is like the electronic game of Simon with one difference. Instead of repeating random sequences of sound, you repeat sequences of song melodies. The light version has only 5 melodies and 7 songs, but in every other way is like the full version.

- There is a preview mode in which the song is played and the lyrics displayed allowing the app to be used for singing along.
- The single player mode allows you to choose the song to be practiced. In this mode a couple of lines of the song are practiced at a time until they are mastered. The app then moves along to the next line.
- The multiplayer mode chooses a song randomly and continues to add notes until the entire melody has been repeated.
- It includes a retry button, mostly for single player use, but also for multiplayer to adapt to younger players or a laxer set of rules.
- As the app plays notes, the keys are pressed, to show what key corresponds with the note, and the note is shown on a musical staff. The key press can be turned off to practice reading notes on the staff.
- Key press and showing the note on the staff can be turned off to see if you can pick out the notes by sound alone.
- The verses may be shown without the music preview, so after a song is learned it can be played and sung along.
- Great for kids because there are no ads or in-app purchases.
